About Us

Dayboro Valley "where the footpath ends and the trail begins". Situated approximately 43 kilometres north west of Brisbane. The town was originally settled in the 1860's, under went several name changes, finally being established as Dayboro in 1917. It began as a sugar growing, timber cutters and bullockies town. The sugar industry failing, giving way to the development of agricultural, dairying and pineapple farming.

Dayboro has maintained a laid back, country atmosphere and wonderful community spirit. The area has many unique events, dining experiences and weekend getaway opportunities available. For more info on Dayboro: Dayboro.com

The Dayboro Trailriders Club was formed in the 1990s. Founded September, 1994. Incorporated on March 10th, 1995.

It all started with the likes of Selwyn Barr and Errol Brough taking their children for leisurely horse trail rides through and around the beautiful Dayboro district on weekends. Steadily more people joined the group and it is thanks to these two founding members and many others over the ensuing years that we are able to enjoy the wonderful, friendly club that we have today.

The first meeting of the Dayboro Trailriders Club was held on January 5th, 1995, with approximately 21 members. It was resolved that the club be affiliated with the Australian Trail Horse Riders Association.
