Big October Ride 2017 : Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd October

Saturday ride will be a 6 hour ride and leaves the showgrounds at 8.30am & Sunday ride will be a 2.5 hour ride leaving at 9.00am sharp.

BOR Nomination  Waiver Form NOMINATIONS TAKEN ON LINE OR FROM 5.00pm FRIDAY NIGHT till 8:00am SATURDAY. Nominations will not be accepted after 8:00am as all riders must be saddled and in the showring by 8:15am. 

A health declaration must be completed for all attending horses and brought on the day. Please do not send in prior with nomination form if pre nominating.

The Dayboro Trailriders will be running their 19th Annual horse trail riding event the

 “Big October Ride” on Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd October 2017

Saturday rides leave the showground’s at 8.30am & Sunday ride leaves the showgrounds at 9.00am sharp. Morning Tea provided.
2017 will see an ALL NEW 1 x 6hr ride and a 1 x 2.5hr ride on Sunday.

With permission from the Rural Fireys both evenings will be casual and relaxed around the campfire. A licensed bar will be operating both nights. 

Come along Friday afternoon and camp for the weekend as the camping fee is included.

Ride fees are $30 for visitors or $15 for TRA members. Fees cover your camping fees, insurance and morning tea.  Payment can be made via direct deposit to the following bank account:

Dayboro Trail Riders Club Inc. BSB: 654-019, A/C: 312037. Please note your name as the reference and mail your nomination form to our postal address PO Box 128 Dayboro Qld 4521.

 All rides are non-competitive and leisurely paced. Participants need to bring their own horse and riding gear. There is no age limit on either riders or horses; however both will need to be fit enough and competent to take part. Riders 16 years & under will require a responsible adult or guardian. Riders 18 years & under must wear an approved riding helmet. Strictly no stallions, rigs or dogs. It is recommended that all horses be shod or wear boots and wear a halter and lead rope.

BBQ Meal Friday night includes Steak burgers @ $7, Sausage on bread @ $2.50 & cake & custard @ $3.50 per serving. Saturday night BBQ meal will be the same as Friday nights but we will also have hamburgers @ $5 each.

We have a variety of drinks available as listed below:

Water & soft drink cans @ $2 each

Bundaberg Ginger beer @ $3/bottle

Beer @ 3.50 each        Mixers @ $6 each

Glass of wine @ $3.00 & Bottles of wine @ $13 each

Catering will be available for the whole weekend from Fiday evening right through till Sunday lunch after the ride.

Breakfast will be runby the Dayboro scouts on Saturday and Sunday morning.

On the Saturday ride a BBQ lunch of steak burgers $7.00 or Sausage on brad $2.50 will be available to purchase along with softdrinks and water.

 

This event has become avidly looked forward to, each year, by riders locally and further a field.
Previously we’ve been host to riders from  Brisbane suburbs, Ipswich; Toowoomba; Yarraman; Pomona; Kin Kin; Gympie; Maryborough; Gold Coast and New South Wales. We look forward to seeing you all again & if you haven’t been before come along and see and enjoy best ride in Queensland!
